Scandinavian Holidays
Scandinavia is the Region always containing Denmark, Norway and Sweden - the cultural and historical Region in Northern Europe known as a common ethnocultural North Germanic heritage and mutually intelligible North Germanic languages. Svalbard - the Norwegian dependency - are usually not included, however the Danish Faroe Islands are sometimes included - and in daily talk Finland and or Iceland can be included too - but strictly speaking Scandinavia is Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
In English usage, Scandinavia refers to its geographical area, also known as the Scandinavian Peninsula - and in the past, referred to Scania, the Region now Sweden but used to belong to Denmark. Scandinavia came into use in the late 18th century - and for Denmark, Norway and Sweden, their Germanic majority peoples and associated language and culture, Scandinavia was introducedby early cultural and linguistic Scandinavist movement. Scandinavia and the Nordics are in daily life used randomly and is not always strictly speaking of the "correct" countries.

The autumn is also a time when nature likes to reveal all its different sides – from stunning sunny days dressing the mountains in shades of golden brown, a must-see, to violent autumn storms that mesmerize you with their harsh beauty.
