Lithuania Anniversary

  Lithuanian Tourist Board

Lithuania is a hidden gem in the Baltics just waiting to be discovered for lovely holidays - eventually celebrating an anniversary for birthday, wedding, friendship and many more occasions. If you’ve a red letter day coming up, it’s the perfect place.

Lithuania is beautiful in summer and winter and equally will give you an insight into the Architecture, the Culture, the Gourmet scene, the Landscape and much more waiting to be discovered by you.

The capital Vilnius is famous for its medieval Old Town. It also has Gothic, Renaissance and baroque architecture, and a cathedral built on a pagan temple site.

Gediminas' Tower, a symbol of the city and the nation, offers sweeping views; the Botanical Garden of Vilnius University hosts nearly 100 events each year.

More about Lithuania Anniversary

At the second largest city Kaunas, you’ll find a fascinating old town that’s home to the Kaunas Cathedral Basilica with its ornate interior, and the Gothic spires of the Hanseatic House of Perkunas. Kaunas Castle is a medieval fortress where you’ll find historical exhibitions. To unwind, there’s Laisves Aleja, a pedestrianised street lined with trees and tempting cafes.

You can choose to spend your time in the cities, or explore some of the 30 regional parks.

For instance, Labanoras Regional Park is just 80 km northeast of Vilnius. Covering 553 hectares, it contains over 70 lakes and is richly forested.

And the Kaunas Reservoir Regional Park was established to protect the unique natural ecosystem, and cultural heritage.

With tree-top walking paths, hills and mountains, you can take in fantastic views as you make the most of your special time together.

There’s also a host of things to do on the coast. The Curonian Spit is one of Earth's natural wonders. Amid spectacular dunes, fragrant pine forests, you can enjoy sailing, cycling and fishing.
