This 5-day hiking program offers a perfect mix of nature, culture, and local flavor – from panoramic views at Hvíthamar and a scenic coastal walk from Kirkjubøur to Tórshavn, to the dramatic cliffs of Trælanípan. Along the way, enjoy guided walks, authentic local experiences, and a traditional Faroese dinner in a welcoming home.

Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival at Faroe Islands
After a 2-hour flight with the national airline of the Faroe Islands, Atlantic Airways, you’ll arrive in Vágar. Your rental car will be ready for pick-up at the airport upon arrival.
The first night will be spent at the charming Gjáargarður Guesthouse in the village of Gjógv. On your scenic drive you will pass through the very first underwater tunnel in the Faroe Islands — an exciting experience that takes you over 100 meters below sea level.
Along the way, you will have the chance to enjoy breathtaking views of dramatic fjords, tiny villages nestled between mountains, and sweeping coastal landscapes. If time allows, consider a short stop at the picturesque village of Saksun or a viewpoint over Funningur for a quick photo break.
It's the perfect introduction to the natural beauty and quiet charm of the Faroes.

Day 2: Guided Hike to Hvíthamar

Start your adventure with a scenic guided hike to the viewpoint Hvíthamar. You’ll meet your guide at Gjáarskarð mountain pass, just outside Gjógv. The trail is short – about 20 minutes each way – but with a relaxed pace and photo stops, the total experience takes around 1,5 hours. Stunning views and fresh mountain air guaranteed.
After the hike, drive to Tórshavn and check in for a 3-night stay at Hotel Føroyar.
Day 3: Tórshavn City Walk & Hike to Kirkjubøur

Discover the charm of Tórshavn on a guided city walk through the historic center. After exploring the capital, hop on the free city bus to the picturesque village of Kirkjubøur. There, you’ll get a brief tour before hiking back to Tórshavn along the old village path. A perfect blend of culture, history, and coastal scenery. Approx. 5-6 hours total.

Day 4: Trælanípan Hike & Local Home Visit

Join your guide for a hike to the iconic Trælanípan “Slave Clfiff” – where dramatic cliffs meet the lake above the ocean. The hike takes about 1 hour each way, with plenty of time to enjoy the breathtaking views. After the hike, you will be welcomed into a local home in Miðvágur for a traditional Faroese fish dinner – a warm, authentic end to a memorable day.

Day 5: Departure
Breakfast at your hotel and make your way back to the airport to drop-off your rental car in time for your return flight.
