Extraordinary Glass Igloo Holidays in Finnish Lapland

Staying in a glass igloo is a remarkable opportunity to experience the Northern Lights as never before, with beautiful cabins, igloos and ice hotel accommodation offering an unobstructed view of the midnight sun through crystal-clear laser-heated glass roofs.

Many guests combine a trip to Lapland with an excursion, staying in an Aurora dome with all the amenities and first-class facilities they expect in their luxury igloos, including heated cabins and cosy lounge spaces to relax and drink in the night sky.

An Aurora alarm service is a fantastic way to ensure you don't miss the most incredible Northern Lights displays and can embrace the majesty of the snowy landscape and unique wildlife species often spotted throughout the Arctic Circle.

Luxury Igloo Accommodation Within the Aurora Zone

Guests have a broad choice of accommodation options, including a romantic ice hotel resort with a snow sauna, ice bar, free Wi-Fi, continental breakfast and optional extra night add-ons to ensure you and your travelling companions make the most of your adventure to view the Northern Lights.

We can organise both traditional igloo accommodation, with warm layers, refreshments and dinner, or state-of-the-art glass igloos, one of the ideal ways to experience the ambience of Finland, escape light pollution and sleep underneath the stars.

Visitors can pre-book exhilarating excursions adapted for younger family members, with firm favourites such as snowmobiling, sledding, or travelling to one of the many reindeer resorts and farms to learn more about the local culture and way of life.

Stunning Northern Lights Holidays in Your Choice of Arctic Snowhotel

Our Aurora cabins and luxury igloos are perfectly situated within easy travelling distance from your arrival at Ivalo Airport yet feel a world away from the lights and noise of the city and provide a wonderful backdrop as you search for the elusive Northern Lights through your Aurora dome.

Your glass igloo is fully equipped, with your choice of exclusive cabins and bed and breakfast accommodation.

Waking up in the morning to the Arctic sky shining through a glass roof is an unforgettable experience. It makes for a truly magical holiday, where the Northern Lights in the evening feel almost close enough to touch.

Hi Daina,

Thanks for your email.

Firstly we both want to thank you personally for arranging everything so fantastically for us, we couldn’t fault your service as everything was made so easy for us.

We have to say that this was probably the best holiday we have ever experienced, the location was out of this world and the Hotel and staff made us extremely welcome.

The queen suites are enormous and cater for every need in a very secluded stunning and tranquil setting, we had the use of a sauna and hot tub and sitting in the hot tub when its minus 24 outside was unusual to say the least.

The husky rides were fantastic and we would highly recommend it along with the snow mobiles and reindeer rides that were as equally impressive and our night time horse drawn sleigh was great taking us through the forest at night.

We didn’t see the Northern lights as it was too cloudy however this didn’t spoil our holiday in any way as by the time we had done the outdoor events and had dinner trust me all you want to do is get to the cabin and sleep rather than stay awake until the early hours in the hope of seeing the lights.

We also did two days of skiing and the slopes were virtually deserted which was excellent and we couldn’t have hoped for better.

All in all we just didn’t want to come home and could have easily stayed for two weeks and as a 30th wedding anniversary memory its one that we will never forget.

Thanks again for sorting all this out for us and if you ever need any references to the quality of your service then please let us know and we would be more than pleased to assist.

We have attached a few pictures for you.

Kind regards,

Gary

The Finland trip was fantastic & above my expectations.

Though a bit physical, the Snowmobile & Husky activities were exciting & worthy experiences.

Snow sceneries were beautiful & I wouldn't mind to do it again in the future.

So far so good & thanks for your good services & arrangements.

Transportation

Railway mostly serves domestic routes and is used as an easy and quick way to get from the capital to major cities of the country. There are some international routes, like to Moscow and St. Petersburg, but time spent on the way will be quite long.

Buses are one of the most convenient ways to travel between the Baltic States. Eurolines will get you between Riga, Vilnius and Tallinn. One way tickets will cost £ 15 - £ 20 and approximate travel time is 5 hours between the cities. Ticket reservations in advance are recommended.

Taxis are the quickest and most convenient way of travelling round the city. You'll find them located close to the main hotels. Usually it's quite easy to catch a taxi on the street, however, it's much better and safer to order one by phone. Taxi costs in all of the Baltic countries and Poland are approximately the same and a ride in the centre of the city will cost you approx £ 5 - £ 7.  Taxis in Finland and Russia are considerably more expensive.  It is always a good idea to get your hotel to book a taxi for you and ask approximately how much the trip will cost before you get in.

We would not recommend you to take public transportation within the city, as it's usually crowded and it may cause you unnecessary anxiety about where to stop.
