This morning, enjoy a guided city tour of Zagreb, including the historic Upper Town with its charming cobbled streets. Highlights include St. Mark’s Church, St. Catherine’s Church, Zagreb Cathedral, the Parliament and the Government Palace. The remainder of the day is at leisure to further explore the winding streets of the Old Town, relax at one of the many cafés, or join an optional excursion to discover the surrounding countryside.

Afterwards, continue to the beautiful alpine town of Bled. Dinner.

Day 4: Bled, Slovenia

Surrounded by dramatic Alpine peaks, Lake Bled was first “discovered” by travellers in the mid-19th century and has since become one of Slovenia’s most picturesque destinations. Over time, a charming town of hotels, villas and restaurants has developed around the lake, creating a lively year-round resort.

Today’s sightseeing tour introduces you to the delightful town and its scenic lakeshore, including a visit to the imposing Bled Castle, perched high on a cliff overlooking the lake. The remainder of the day is at leisure. You may wish to join an optional excursion to the small island at the centre of the lake, browse the local shops and boutiques, or simply relax and take in the enchanting Alpine scenery.

Day 5: Bled - Postojna - Opatija - Plitvice, Slovenia to Croatia

The journey continues to Postojna, home to one of the largest and most impressive cave systems in Europe. Explore this remarkable subterranean world on a guided tour, travelling part of the way by miniature electric train through vast caverns and spectacular rock formations.

Afterwards, continue to the Adriatic coast and stop in Opatija, a fashionable seaside resort popular during the 19th century. Enjoy a walking tour of this elegant town, known for its grand Habsburg-era villas and charming seaside promenade. After some free time to explore, continue your journey towards the beautiful Plitvice Lakes region. Dinner.
