Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Zagreb, Croatia
Upon arrival at Zagreb Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, the remainder of the day is free to relax or begin exploring the city at your own pace. In the evening, meet your fellow travellers for a welcome drink at the hotel — a perfect opportunity to get acquainted before the journey begins.
Day 2: Zagreb, Croatia
This morning, enjoy a guided city tour of Zagreb, including the historic Upper Town with its charming cobbled streets. Highlights include St. Mark’s Church, St. Catherine’s Church, Zagreb Cathedral, the Parliament and the Government Palace. The remainder of the day is at leisure to further explore the winding streets of the Old Town, relax at one of the many cafés, or join an optional excursion to discover the surrounding countryside.
Day 3: Zagreb - Ljubljana & Bled, Slovenia
After breakfast, travel to Ljubljana, the charming capital of Slovenia. Enjoy a walking tour of the historic city centre, taking in its most notable sights including the picturesque open-air Central Market, the famous Three Bridges, the Baroque Town Hall and Robba’s Fountain. Afterwards, continue to the beautiful alpine town of Bled. Dinner.
Day 4: Bled, Slovenia
Surrounded by dramatic Alpine peaks, Lake Bled was first “discovered” by travellers in the mid-19th century and has since become one of Slovenia’s most picturesque destinations. Over time, a charming town of hotels, villas and restaurants has developed around the lake, creating a lively year-round resort.
Today’s sightseeing tour introduces you to the delightful town and its scenic lakeshore, including a visit to the imposing Bled Castle, perched high on a cliff overlooking the lake. The remainder of the day is at leisure. You may wish to join an optional excursion to the small island at the centre of the lake, browse the local shops and boutiques, or simply relax and take in the enchanting Alpine scenery.
Day 5: Bled - Postojna - Opatija - Plitvice, Slovenia to Croatia
The journey continues to Postojna, home to one of the largest and most impressive cave systems in Europe. Explore this remarkable subterranean world on a guided tour, travelling part of the way by miniature electric train through vast caverns and spectacular rock formations.
Afterwards, continue to the Adriatic coast and stop in Opatija, a fashionable seaside resort popular during the 19th century. Enjoy a walking tour of this elegant town, known for its grand Habsburg-era villas and charming seaside promenade. After some free time to explore, continue your journey towards the beautiful Plitvice Lakes region. Dinner.
Day 6: Plitvice - Split, Croatia
After breakfast, have your camera ready as you explore the spectacular Plitvice Lakes National Park on a walking tour around the lower lakes. Admire the breathtaking scenery of this natural wonder, featuring sixteen terraced lakes connected by cascading waterfalls and surrounded by thickly wooded mountains and lush vegetation.
After the tour, continue your journey to the historic coastal city of Split for an overnight stay. Dinner.
Day 7: Split, Croatia
This morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Split’s historic inner city, built around the remarkable Diocletian’s Palace — a UNESCO World Heritage Site dating back to Roman times. Discover the fascinating layers of history as you explore the remnants of Split’s Roman heritage alongside elegant Renaissance and Gothic buildings. Highlights include Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle and the Cathedral of St. Domnius.
The remainder of the day is at leisure to stroll through Split’s charming streets, relax at a café along the lively waterfront promenade, or enjoy some time at the beach.
Day 8: Departure from Sp[it, Croatia
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Split Airport for your return flight.
