Walk this way

  By Fjord Norway

If you want the path less trodden, through forests and along sparkling fjords, then Norway is your place. With 44 national parks and literally hundreds of paths for walking and hiking, join the Norwegian people in their enthusiam for their great outdoors.

Pitch your tent; stay in one of the many wooden cabins along your route or stay in luxury at a grand hotel: all alternatives are available. Trails are marked in accordance with their difficulty, so from the casual stroller to the ardent hiker, every taste is catered for.

Priekestolen, Trolltunga, Galdhopiggen, Beseggen and Ronsdalseggen: just the names encourage you to put your walking boots on. For family friendly walks, head to Telemark and Setesdal, where you can walk to the top of Gaustatoppen Mountain and look out over one-sixth of Norway from over 1,800 metres high - or cheat and take the funicular!

Head for the Lifjell Mountain Plateau and enjoy 200 square kilometres of walking paths suitable for all the family and every standard of walker or hiker. With 20 peaks over 1,000 metres, determined hikers will satisfy their wanderlust and lakes teeming with fish can keep the anglers busy.

We know Norway and we will take you there.
