Overview:

Narva is the city where Estonian and Russian cultures meet. Today the atmosphere is friendly, but you can see from close proximity of the castle of the Order of Germanic nights and the Russian fortress of Ivangorod, that the tensions were high.

Tartu
is a proud, academic city with its centuries old university. Viljandi is known as a peaceful lakeside city, that has become the centre for folk music festivals. Pärnu is well known as Estonia's summer capital and resort with its sandy beaches and well-kept parks.

The quaint resort town of Kuressaare is located on Estonia's biggest island, Saaremaa, which features the Bishops castle, a well preserved 14th century structure.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Tallinn, departure for Narva (211 km)

Narva is the place where your adventure holiday in Estonia starts, the city where Estonian and Russian cultures meet. Today the atmosphere is friendly, but you can see from the close proximity of the castle of the Order of Germanic nights and the Russian fortress of Ivangorod that tensions have once been high.

Day 2: Narva - Tartu (182 km)

Tartu is a proud, academic city with its centuries old university. With a population just over 100,000, it is the second largest city in Estonia. Tartu, lying 185 kilometres south of Tallinn, is also the centre of Southern Estonia. The Emajõgi River, which connects the two largest lakes in Estonia, flows for 10 kilometres within the city limits and adds colour to the city.

Day 3: Tartu - Viljandi - Pärnu (171 km)

Viljandi is known as a peaceful lakeside city, and it has become the centre for folk music festivals. Pärnu is well known as Estonia's summer capital and resort, with its sandy beaches and well-kept parks.

Day 4: Pärnu - Kuressaare (155 km)

A short ferry crossing will take you from the Estonian mainland to its largest Island - Saaremaa. The quaint resort town of Kuressaare is located on Saaremaa, and features the Bishops castle, a well preserved 14th century structure.

Day 5: Kuressaare - Tallinn (218 km)

Tallinn is the well known capital of Estonia, where tourists flock to admire its beautiful medieval Old Town, trendy restaurants and vibrant nightlife.

Day 6: Departure from Tallinn (8 km)

Return the car at the airport and depart for the UK.
