Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Welcome to Wonderful Copenhagen

Welcome to the Capital of Denmark! In this charming city one thousand years of history awaits you in the medieval streets; the same streets walked on by every generation of the world's oldest royal family, the same streets and canals which have inspired artists for centuries and been home and workplace to meticulous craftsmen and famous designers. This day is dedicated to visiting the beautiful capital of Denmark, a modern city that has retained its original charm. Copenhagen is often considered as a benchmark amongst the world's best cities for quality of life, despite the cost! With its long history and a wide variety of attractions and sights, we never run out of things to do or see. In addition, the city is quite small and therefore ideal for exploring on foot. København in Danish means "Port of Trade."
Sights of interests are The Royal Palace Amalienborg, The Little Mermaid statue and The Tivoli Garden.

Day 2: Copenhagen - Gilleleje

~ 8 km cycling
After breakfast, you make you way North from Copenhagen by train to the scenic town of Gilleleje and check-in to Gilleleje Badehotel for your 3 night’s stay. The beach hotel has been lovingly restored and you will fall in love with its charming early 20th century interior design. The perfect place to spend the night as you spend two whole days romancing in Royal North Sealand. In the afternoon, after about fifteen minutes of cycling to Gilleleje Harbour, you can enjoy a genuine Scandinavian Summer dinner made from fresh local produces and freshly caught seafood.

Day 3: Gilleleje - Hornbaek - Gilleleje

~ 13 km cycling
After a delightful lunch and a dip in Øresund, we recommend that you take the coast route to Hornbæk. Naturally, you’re expected to stop at “kyssebænken” (the kissing bench) on Munkeruphus. The route then passes Tegners Museum, which has a wonderful sculpture park and is the perfect setting to relax on the grass or enjoy a cup of coffee in the museum cafe. Carry on to Hornbæk and enjoy a delicious lunch at Hornbæk Harbour. It is a delightful location and a walk through the town and its small fishermen’s houses is always time well spent. Hornbæk beach with its warm sand is perfect for a couple of hours of relaxation. If you happen to relax too much and run out of time, you can take the local train back to Gilleleje. Your evening begins with the sunset on Øresund. Cycle or take a taxi or bus down to Gilleleje Harbour, where you can book a trip out on a local fishing boat. Enjoy the dreamy sunset with a glass of cold white wine and a tasty light snack.

Day 4: Gilleleje - Esrum Abbey - Gilleleje

~ 14 km cycling
North Sealand is rich in cultural history and beautiful countryside. You will love the beautiful bicycle route to Esrum Abbey & Esrum Møllegård. The route is 14 km long and you can take the train back if you wish. At Esrum Abbey & Esrum Møllegård you can enjoy a delightful summer lunch, based on herbs and spices that were once widely used in medieval Europe. Lunches in Denmark are always based on seasonal ingredients. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the magical Abbey. Drink from “Kilden” (The Spring), which the monks believed had curative powers. After an active and adventure-filled day, relax and unwind in the spa area, with its mahogany sauna, aroma steam bath and jacuzzi. Enjoy dinner at Gilleleje Harbour or maybe you wish to enjoy the rest of your evening at Gilleleje Badehotel and eat the hotels’ restaurant and take a stroll on the beach in the evening and take in the pastel colours of the long Scandinavian summer nights.
