You don’t need to travel far from Helsinki to get in the middle of nature! Nuuksio National Park is just 40 minutes away from the Helsinki airport! The area is full of small lakes and green forest. Camping in Helsinki offers an unforgettable camping experience in the nature, near the city. There is a lot to do in the nature, but we have chosen the best activities for you!

Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Helsinki
Your host will meet you at the Helsinki Airport. You will be transferred to your hotel located in the Helsinki city center. Evening is yours to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere this Nordic capital has to offer!
Helsinki, the capital of Finland, was founded in 1550 by the Swedish king. In 1917, Finland gained its independence and Helsinki became the capital of the new Republic. Helsinki is a vibrant, cultural and modern city. The city is highly characterized by the presence of water.
Accommodation at Hotel Katajanokka or similar.
Day 2: Nuuksio National Park and a Night in a Tree
After good breakfast we hop on the van and drive to the starting place of our canoe and hiking tour. We launch the canoes and paddle on wilderness lakes of Nuuksio National Park. In the middle of our excursion we’ll have a coffee and snack break by the lake. You can also dip into the clean water forest lake on the break. At some point we leave our canoes on the shore and do a short hike to get to see what it is like in the forests of the National Park. We will carry the canoes a short distance between two lakes, so this requires a bit of sporty attitude. After the tour we will hop in the van and get to Haltia – The Finnish Nature Centre. We will enjoy our lunch in the restaurant. After the lunch you have free time to enjoy the exhibition at the nature center, swim in the nearby lake, or explore the area. The Tentsile Eco Camp is only a short walk away. You will have an evening snack basket to enjoy the evening and the summer night. Prepare yourself for a magical night in a two-person treehouse-style tent and feel the nature around you.

Day 3: Stand Up Paddling and Scenery
Wake up in the middle of nature relaxed and ready for another day of adventure. After breakfast we hop in the van again and drive for about 15 minutes to a beautiful small lake.
Here we hop on our Stand Up Paddle Boards and explore this part of the National Park. Stand Up Paddling is easy, and the boards are stable. We have one break and it is possible to climb a small hill, where you have beautiful views over the lake and the national park. After the break we will find our way back to the starting place.
On the way back, we have lunch at Nature Centre. After lunch we will take you to back to the city centre to stay in Helsinki for an additional night!

Day 4: Departure from Helsinki
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
