Yusupov Palace

By About Russia

Yusupov Palace is a(nother) historic palace in the middle of St. Petersburg and is very worth visiting. It is also known as Moika Palace and was in the past the primary residence in St. Petersburg. The palace is situated across from the Moika River. It was built in 1770 by a French architect Jean-Baptiste Valliin de la Mothe and was built and reconstructed throughout more than a hundred years.

A true but scary fact is that Grigori Rasputin was murdered here 100 years ago in 1916.
