Fosshotel Nupar is situated appx. 18 miles east of the area Kirkjubæjarklaustur. The area is known for its calm weather and spectacular views over a lavafield and to the glaciers of Vatnajökull. From the hotel there is appx. 35 miles to the Nationalpark Skaftafell, where one can find beautiful walking trails, challenging guided glacier hikes and nature that takes you breath away. Jokulsarlon (Glacier lagoon) one of Icelands most visited places, is about an hours drive eastwards.
