Every room is designed with the environment and location of the hotel in mind to create a unique mood away from all the pollution and crowd of the city. Each ION private room boasts fair-trade organic linens and incredible views. Each private bath is environmentally responsible with water saving shower systems. The beds are also hypo allergenic and supremely comfortable. Every single room has to offer an astonishing view over the white steam and vapor from the Nesjavellir Power Plant or towards Þingvellir Lake and the lava fields as far as the eye can see. The Hotel has devoted itself to buy mainly Fair Trade certified products when local Icelandic items are not available.
In every bathroom there are premium quality lotions and soaps from Sóley Organic. Every Sóley product is made from Icelandic herbs, handpicked in Icelandic nature and not containing any chemical agent that can harm man or nature. The hotel has a restaurant specializing in the new Nordic cuisine which is about simplicity and ease. Hotel’s natural spa has a 10 meter outdoor hot tub, sauna and a relaxation room.
