Visby town and its city wall is included in Unesco’s World Heritage List as a unique historical site. From Visby, you can choose to travel by car or bicycle to a large number of interesting sites and attractions spread out across the island. Distances are short, and you can experience much in just a weekend or even a day. All along the Gotland coastline, there are many attractive sandy beaches and rocky cliff areas.

ITINERARY DAY 1: Arrival in Stockholm. Transfer to your hotel for two nights stay (Arlanda Express operates between the airport and Stockholm central station and the journey takes 20 minutes. One way ticket costs approx. SEK 220)
DAY 2: Free time to exaplore Stockholm. Visit Gamla Stan (The Old Town), take a stroll through the narrow, cobble stoned alleys and enjoy the fantastic atmosphere. Visit Östermalmshallen, one of Stockholm’s oldest food markets or Skansen, the oldest open air museum in the world. Vasamuseet offers an unique and spectacular museum, home to the 17th century war ship that sunk on its maiden voyage in 1628. The ship was rescued from the sea after 333 years and is now presented complete with masts, ropes and tackle.
DAY 3: Departure to Gotland. Check out from your hotel and transfer to Stockholm Bromma airport. (Frequent fly buses operate between Stockholm city bus terminal and Bromma airport. One way ticket costs approx. SEK 70).
After arrival to Visby, take a taxi and transfer to your hotel for two nights stay.
DAY 4: Spend the day exploring the medieval town of Visby, with its city wall, winding cobblestone streets and alleys and its large number of ancient stone and wooden houses, churches and ruins.
DAY 5: Departure. Check out from your hotel and take a flight back home via Stockholm. (Fly buses operate between Stockholm Bromma and Stockholm Arlanda airports. One way ticket costs approx. SEK 99).
