Overview:
This guided salmon fishing trip takes place on the River Muonionjoki located in Western Lapland and includes fishing gear, accommodation in a cottage as well as all the meals which will be prepared by your guide who is also a professional cook. Fishing spots are carefully selected based on years of experience in quiet, wilderness sections of the river.
River Muonionjoki is 230 km long and forms part of the Swedish and the Finnish border, a popular spot for those choosing Finland holidays. Salmon rises to the river from the Baltic Sea, and stays due to its clean and fresh water. In the upper reaches of the river Muonionjoki water is so clear and clean that you can drink it straight from the river.

Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Kittila, transfer to Muonio
Upon arrival in Kittilä airport, you will be met and transferred to Muonio for your accommodation in a cottage. Depending on your arrival time, it might be possible to do some evening fishing before returning to the cottage for a sauna and dinner - salmon carpaccio, sautéed reindeer with potato pyre and lingonberry. Lapish home cheese with cinnamon cream and cloudberries.
Day 2 - 6: Fishing on the River Muonionjoki
After breakfast, depart for your day of fishing. Lunch will be served outdoors by the campfire or in a cottage. Return later in the evening to the cottage for sauna and dinner.

- Day 1: Dinner: Starter: Flavours from North. Main: Reindeer fillet, roasted beetroot, parsnip puree and game sauce. Dessert: cinnamon cream with Lappish cheese and lingonberry
- Day 2: Buffet breakfast Lunch: traditional reindeer meet soup, bread and butter Dinner: Starter: Rime reindeer, pickled mushrooms and cep mayonnaise. Main: local salmon served with lemon- ginger risotto. Dessert: Pannacotta and strawberry
- Day 3: Buffet breakfast Lunch: Smoked salmon salad and roasted bread Dinner: Starter: grayling ceviche Main: Sauteed reindeer and mashed potatoes, lingonberry Dessert: french toast with fresh berries and whipped cream
- Day 4: Buffet breakfast Day 4-7: menus are high quality of Lapland taste
Day 7: Departure from Kittila to Helsinki
Breakfast at the cottage before your transfer back to Kittila airport. Return flight to Helsinki. Overnight in an airport hotel.
Day 8: Departure from Helsinki
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure.
