Helsinki is one of Europe’s most modern cities. It is a pleasantly compact city with all major attraction within a walking distance, including the fortress of Suomenlinna, Senate Square, modern art museum Kiasma and the unique ‘Church in the Rock’. The city was first founded by the Swedish king, Gustav Vaasa back when Finland was still part of Sweden. After being conquered by Russia, Helsinki became the capital of the country and glimpses of the Russian era can still be seen in the architecture of the city.

Stockholm is one of the most beautiful cities with an archipelago of over 24,000 islands. The Old Town and Riddarholmen islands form the Northern Europe’s largest and best-preserved medieval city core, with a history dating back to the 13th century. Stockholm’s major attractions include the Royal Palace and the Royal Treasury and the Vasa Museum featuring the warship Vasa, which sank in Stockholm on her maiden voyage in 1628. Stockholm is also an excellent place to shop and all major Swedish and international brands, designer stores and markets can be found from the city centre.
