If you are interested in witnessing the natural wonder of the Midnight Sun, plan a trip between the 19th of April and the 23rd of August. To be able to immerse yourself in the darkness, when the sun does not rise at all, plan a holiday from November to February.  Longyearbyen is recommended for those who enjoy adventure sports and want to explore the thrill of Norway. One can try fjord cruising, skiing, dog sledding, hiking, glacier trekking and snow mobile riding. The town is an hour and a half away from Troms by flight.
